About Us
Hello and thank you for visiting!
I'm Jennifer Norris, the proud owner of Pollen Floral Art since 2020. My journey into the world of floral artistry was paved by a passion for flowers and cultivated by my professional background in interior design and photography prop styling.
Upon relocating to Austin, my love for flowers blossomed into a flourishing career with a prominent floral design studio, as my organizational skills propelled me into the role of studio and on-site manager. As I transitioned to overseeing a smaller floral studio, I embraced a more hands-on approach, collaborating closely with clients to bring their floral visions to life. From intimate backyard weddings to grand ballroom affairs, I've seamlessly managed the design, creation, and installation of floral arrangements for a diverse array of events.
Through Pollen Floral Art, I am dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences through the language of flowers. I look forward to weaving the beauty of nature into your special moments and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Frequently Asked Questions
Booking & Consultations
How far in advance should I book my wedding florist? We recommend booking 9–12 months before your wedding date, especially for peak season (spring and fall) or popular Saturdays. For smaller events or off-season dates, 3–6 months is usually sufficient. Popular dates fill quickly, so the earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we'll have with design and availability.
Do you offer consultations, and is there a fee? We offer a complimentary initial consultation by phone or video call to learn more about your event. We're also happy to gather this information via email if that's more convenient for you.
What should I have for my consultation?
Inspiration photos (Pinterest boards are great), your color palette, venue details, dress or attire photos if available, and a general sense of your budget. The more context you share, the better we can tailor our recommendations. If you'd prefer, you're also welcome to send this information over email ahead of time so we can prepare before we connect.
Do you require a retainer? Yes, we require a signed contract and a non-refundable retainer (20% of your subtotal) to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 3 weeks prior to the event.
Design & Style
Can you work with a specific color palette or theme? Absolutely. We love designing around your vision, whether it's a romantic garden look, modern minimalist, boho, classic and timeless, or something entirely unique. We'll create a custom proposal so you can see our direction before we begin.
Can I see samples of your previous work? Yes, our portfolio is available on our website and Instagram.
Do you offer mock-ups or sample arrangements before the big day? We offer optional paid mock-up sessions so you can see and approve key pieces (like your bouquet or a centerpiece)
Can you show me photos of what you'd do for my event? Because every event is custom, we can't show you photos of something we haven't created yet. We could pull similar work from the internet or use AI-generated images to mock up an idea, but neither would honestly represent what you'd actually get.
Instead, we love to start with your inspiration — colors, a Pinterest board or a couple of images, and the mood or theme you're going for — and design around that. We create with the actual floral varieties and containers in front of us, working in the moment, so what you receive is one-of-a-kind and made specifically for you.
Flowers & Seasonality
Can I have any flower I want, regardless of season? Most flowers can be sourced year-round through wholesale networks, but some specialty or local blooms are seasonal and may affect pricing or availability. We'll always let you know if a flower you love isn't in season and suggest beautiful alternatives.
Pricing & Packages
How much do wedding flowers typically cost? Costs vary widely based on flower choices, arrangement size, and quantity needed. On average, couples spend between 8–12% of their total wedding budget on florals. After your consultation, we'll provide a detailed, itemized proposal so there are no surprises.
Do you have set packages? We don't offer pre-set packages — every event is fully custom. Because no two weddings or events are alike, we build each proposal from scratch based on your vision, guest count, venue, and flower choices. This means you're never paying for a generic bundle; every arrangement is designed specifically for you.
What's included in your pricing — delivery, setup, and breakdown? Delivery, setup, and installation are included for full-service wedding packages. Breakdown/strike service (removing arrangements after the event) can be incorporated if necessary.
Corporate & Other Events
Do you only do weddings? Not at all! In addition to weddings, we design florals for corporate events, including office receptions, product launches, conferences, holiday parties, client dinners, and grand openings. We also work with clients on other special occasions like anniversaries, showers, and private parties.
How does the process differ for corporate events? Corporate florals are just as custom as our wedding work, but we'll often factor in brand colors, company logos or themes, and recurring event needs. Many corporate clients work with us on an ongoing basis for regular office arrangements or annual events — ask about recurring service options.
Can you accommodate short-notice corporate requests? We recommend booking corporate events at least 4–6 weeks in advance, but we understand business needs can be time-sensitive. Contact us directly and we'll let you know what's possible based on our current calendar.
Logistics & Delivery
Do you deliver and set up on the day of the event? Yes, delivery and setup are included in our full-service packages. We coordinate timing directly with your venue and other vendors to ensure everything is ready before guests arrive.
Do you handle ceremony-to-reception flower transfers? Many couples like to repurpose ceremony flowers (like arch florals or aisle arrangements) for the reception, and we're happy to coordinate this when possible. That said, not every transfer is feasible — it depends on factors like arrangement structure, timing between post ceremony photos and when dinner starts, and venue logistics. We'll assess feasibility on a case-by-case basis during your consultation and let you know what we can realistically repurpose.
Please note that a ceremony flip comes with an additional cost. This covers our team waiting on-site through the ceremony and post-ceremony photos, plus the labor to relocate and reset the florals for the reception. We'll include this as a line item in your proposal if a flip is part of your plan.
What happens to the flowers after the event? We offer post-event breakdown/strike service if needed. Some couples choose to gift arrangements to guests, donate them to local organizations, or take them home. Let us know your preference and we'll plan accordingly.
Do you provide vases, arches, or other decor items? Yes, we offer a rental inventory of vases, arches, candle holders, and other decor accents. Rental items are included as a line item in your proposal.
Working With Other Vendors
Do you work with our wedding planner or venue coordinator? Yes, we regularly collaborate with planners, venues, and other vendors to ensure a seamless event. We're happy to connect directly with your planning team to coordinate logistics.
Can you recommend other vendors (photographers, planners, etc.)? Definitely — we've built relationships with talented local vendors over the years and are happy to provide referrals upon request.
